Sacred Fire Health by Ascension RS partnered with the Pawnee Nation to bring a long-held vision to life—a tribally owned; culturally grounded behavioral health center designed to restore hope, strengthen community, and expand access to life-saving care.
At a glance:
- Selected through a national search to co-design a comprehensive behavioral health model integrating clinical excellence with traditional Native healing practices
- Launched a 26-bed residential and outpatient treatment center serving both local and regional communities
- Expanded access to MAT, IOP, psychiatric services, and peer-led recovery support
- Developed a multi-layered financing strategy to ensure long-term sustainability
- Projected to generate $114.7M in revenue and up to $172.6M in long-term community savings for the Pawnee Nation
